August is recognized as Black Business Month, a time to celebrate, support, and elevate Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs across the nation. Established to highlight the critical role Black businesses play in driving economic growth, job creation, and community development, the month serves as a reminder of both the achievements and challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs. Black Business Month encourages consumers, corporations, and government entities to intentionally invest in and partner with Black-owned businesses, helping to close wealth gaps, expand opportunities, and strengthen local economies. It is also a time to recognize the innovation, resilience, and leadership of Black business owners who continue to create pathways for economic empowerment and generational wealth within their communities. By supporting Black-owned businesses, we contribute to a more inclusive and prosperous economy for everyone.
