Join us in celebrating National Black Business Month with a special proclamation reception! 

This event honors the contributions and achievements of Black-owned businesses in our community. 

Date: 31 July 2024 

Time: 4pm-5pm 

Location: Penrose House Salon

We are proud to announce that this event is supported by El Pomar Foundation and the Solid Rock Community Development Center. 

Event Highlights:

Official proclamation of National Black Business Month 

Networking opportunities with local Black business owners and community leaders 

Light refreshments 

This reception is open to the public, and we encourage everyone to come out and show their support for Black businesses in our community. Let’s come together to celebrate, connect, and uplift our local Black entrepreneurs. 

Post reception, join us for a screening of Undivide Us, followed by a community discussion. Undivide Us is a film that challenges the idea that citizens who disagree are not capable of civil conversation and demonstrates the truth that, even in our differences, the American experiment is still alive and well.
